#62 - Doorknob
I recently built a new closet in my dining room. The construction part went pretty well. The worst part was actually the painting the trim. Putting the paint on all the flat surfaces with a roller went pretty quick. Painting the trim boards was tedious and took a lot longer than I expected. Home remodeling can be fun and frustrating at the same time.

At least it doesn’t look as stupid as the doors that have knobs in the center. Weirdos.

That’s weird, I don’t know why people do that >.

Too much free time….

gotta tape them off, makes it faster

Eh, all Biff really needs to do is apply more force to the door in order to create the same torque, thus opening (or closing) it. Over time, the increased effort he needs to put into opening and closing the door might even make him a little stronger.

More torque won’t help if the tongue is on the hinge side too. Which begs the question, what’s holding the door shut?

A piano? at any rate, most doors have these massive idiot proof holes in them to help people like Biff put the doorknobs in the right spot.

if you pre-paint the trim before you even cut it it goes faster. then you just have to touch up nail holes and stuff after you put it up.

And wouldn’t it be a bad thing to have a stronger Biff? I shudder at the thought.

Painting trim sounds fun… =/ …I can’t wait to paint my new house, I’m moving on the 20th.

Well seeing as the door knob holds the door in place when it’s closed, turning the knob would retract the lock and allow the door to swing freely. It’d just take more effort to open as a door is a form of lever system where the hinge acts as the fulcrum. Therefore he’d have a harder time pulling the door open, but it wouldn’t be impossible.
In otherwords, Biff probably got frustrated.

I would deeply, dearly love to have a door like that.

why bother with an axe when a flaming hammer could do a better job?
May 30th, 2007 at 12:10 pm
I can practically hear that poor knob whimpering in terror.

awwwwwwwww… gameboy stole my idea for a flaming hammer reference…
May 31st, 2007 at 8:30 pm
Wow. I actually had to axe open a door like that because as a prank my friends super glued it shut.

He’s not using a flaming hammer because his forehead VCR is playing the Shining.

Maybe if you put the doorknob on the opposite side the door might open into another dimension or something.

like off of fairly oddparents when Timmy went into the fairies’ castle? if so then there’s a ugly, wrinkled old hag on the other side.

You people should not reproduce.

The only thing that scares me is that he has an axe in reach at the time…I mean, sure, hammers in the kitchen…but an axe? I guess this is just Biff for us..
March 10th, 2008 at 9:11 pm
door knobs in the center?
damned Hobbits…
March 19th, 2008 at 4:14 pm
This only means that Biff, if he opens the door, will probably be hit by the opened door since he’s in the way.
March 24th, 2008 at 8:43 am
HEEEEERRREEEE’SSSS BIFFY!
June 3rd, 2008 at 8:05 pm
Wouldn’t it be easier for Biff to install a second doorknob on the correct side? That way he can open the door the way most people do, but when he screws up he can get someone else to help. That is certainly better than letting Biff use an axe.

My friends house has those doors, it is so flippin annoying
