that isn’t a lamp, it’s a flame thrower! Considering after a while most 10 watt bulbs seem to get hotter than a stove, eventually that one will get hotter than the sun!
Both my lamps say max 60W and i use 100 cause the 60 is yust a friggin” cats eye. Never had a problem, though in the beginning my bedside lamp did give out this distinct wire-burning smell… but not anymore.
My friend has a really powerful lamp that she left on too long one time. It burned a hole in her carpet. The hole was like a little caldera of smooth blackened… synthetic material. (What the heck are carpets made of, anyway?) Anyway, scary things, lamps.

i have a desk lamp that says to use 60 watt bulbs, but the melt the plastic shade.

regular 100 watts start to heat up a desk fast and… makes my mouse unuseable, i could totally see this possible. time desk lamps..
