the originol sketch looks different.. .where did the blood go, and the face expression?

Yeah that sketch was from December 1991. Biff has evolved a lot since then. I think the gag works without the blood. I guess I set a precedent in some earlier comics where he’s decapitated or cut in half and there’s no blood so I’m sticking with that for now.

That might be me, soon. My new apartment has a ceiling fan, and I can almost put my PALMS on the ceiling without going onto my tip-toes.

I fear going to one of my grandparents cuz they have low ceilings. Nothing is more scary then being 6 foot tall, with mid back length hair, and having a ceiling fan on high just 2 inches above your head. *shudders*

I think Biff just needs to move out of that house. He has way to many problems with the low ceiling.

heh, one time, I was helping my uncle remodle his store, and I was climbing up onto the personal lift. When I started standing up, my hat got knocked off and I just climbed right back down to get it. That’s when I noticed the ceiling fan directly above the ladder. And it was set on high. Lucky I had the hat on, or it would have been my hair…

This used to happen to me in the Summer a lot at my friend’s house. Well … my hands never came clean off, but other than that, dead on.

    Ouch….

Here in Australia it’s a requirement to have ‘safety fans’. They’re really not much less painful than the old ones.

For some reason this makes me think of a bug in an old Infocom game, Starcross, where if you were to try to throw your hands in the air, they’d go sailing off to the horizon.

That’s why when I yawn, I stretch my arms out, not up. It seems a lot safer to imitate a crucifixion than to have your hands pummelled by a high speed ceiling fan.

I’ve noticed that ceiling fans are either really low or really high up. the ceiling fan here in my room is so high i have to stand on my bed to reach it to change the settings. and I’m 6’2″. and also when i was little at my grandma’s, me and my cousin would get tomatoes, apples, potatoes and stuff and throw em up in the ceiling fan. there are still stains on the ceilings. we also did similar stuff on her exercise bike. if you get the wheel spinning fast enuf it can mash potatoes quite nicely.

My father and I are both tall enough that any stretching will put us right into the fan. It really hurts when you are taking a shirt off and it gets caught on a blade and thrown right back into your face.

I have a ceiling fan right beside my bed, which is a bunk bed, and I sleep on the top bunk.
Sometimes I stick my hands or head in to the spinning blades,
On purpose, because it feels cool.

I was on my top bunk once, dangling my legs off the side, and my foot ran into the fan. I had a fan with thin metal blades. Took a great chunk out of the side of my toe. Not too much later, my fan was changed out for one with nice thick wooden blades.

Though, when I was really little, I would go to my friend’s house, and we’d put all his toy cars on top of the fan (how we got to it is beyond me), and then we’d turn the fan on and hide under his conforter so the cars wouldn’t hurt us and let them fly all over the room… Was so much fun! We got in trouble, but we did it a lot :P

And I always have to be careful changing in my room with the fan on. Tall, small crowded room with fan right in the middle….
