I loved this comic, I have a sort of dependency on my jacket (its just so useful!) and would wear it year round if i could, I wish someone would just invent a sort of pocket jacket that would be too warm but would have alot of pockets on the inside and the outside, I would never take mine off!

Just started reading through the archives, after encountering some reference to this comic somewhere…
Pockets are lovely, but I never seem to use them, except to keep something separate from my “tiny-ass” purse, which holds anything and everything I could need, except DVD and CD cases (which fit nicely into my trench coat’s pockets…).

I’ve recently begun packratting more stuff into the pockets of my jacket. I’ve got a calculator, my cellphone, a comb, my DS, a pair of headphones, several receipts, my wallet, and a few other things. At the beginning of winter, I emptied my pockets. My jacket was about ten pounds lighter.

I once borrowed a coat from my step-dad with 10+ pockets, I put my keys in one pocket and later tried to retrieve them, only to discover a bag of phlegm which he had forgotten in said pocket, it turned out he had coughed into the bag for a sample for a possible lung infection… probably the worst thing I’ve ever had the misfortune of discovering.

With this appreciation of pockets, how many people here’s favorite clothing store was Banana Republic (back before they got bought out by the Gap)? I remember buying a vest from them with about 13 or 14 pockets (and they had another one, a photographer’s vest, that had about 30).

The thing I hate about cargo pants is that I can’t put anything hard in the pockets that constantly bang against my knees when I walk.
