#185 – Balloon

Every 4th of July I go to see the fireworks and notice airplanes flying overhead. I wonder what it’s like flying over hundreds of towns all setting off their fireworks. I imagine that it’s pretty awesome. Some day I hope to find out.

heh, that sounds like tthe kind of thing i would do

  2. T.S.

Is it bad that I can’t tell which lines are broken wires from the balloon and which ones are Biff’s eyebrows? haha

  3. Jak_B

    Funny ^^

  4. KryHavok

Well on his way down his balloon will be a nice firework (after biff has gotten out of course :-)

  5. Otacon

It must of been beautiful up there. =p

  6. Hunter

Oh my god, that’s pure genius.

  7. Propane13

Biff is my hero. Just wanted you to know that.
This has become a daily comic of mine :)

  8. Knownimus

    That looks like fun!

  9. Kristin

Well, Biff has somewhere to play solitaire now.

Found Biff through Death and the Maiden II and I must say thank you for the laughter. I have added this to the comics I check everyday. I was really glad to see that you are publishing every day now. Yea!

That’s the sort of thing only satellites can do… that’d be gorgeous!

  11. some kid

    that sounds like fun

In a simular vane, everytime I see the guys in the middle east fire their guns in the air I have to wonder where they come down.

Maybe why you don’t see the middle eastern corrispondants “eye in the sky” reports.

    Thanks Kristin. :)

Hey! i should do that on the 4th
but with a parachute on my back

  15. Punky

    snapkracklepop!
    great web comic!

  16. Magnor

I think I like how he’s looking down, not up at the puncture. It’s almost like he’s got a defeatist attitude: “Oh, crap. Well. Looks like I’ll be meeting the ground soon.”
I picked this up a little while ago – I saw the ad on Bob and George – and I have to say, I love this comic. It’s hillarious. Great job on it.

What is at the bottom?Ground?Ocean?A thousand crocodiles with a few fanatic Biff fangirls, all waiting to tear him apart?!…..Biff is so tiny…

  18. Eirikr

Wow, Biff’s eyebrows must be heavy to droop down instead of waving around in the wind. I’m assuming this is the moment right as the air is escaping and before he starts plummeting to the ground, or his eyebrows would be going straight up.

I still want to see Biff Super-Saiyan.

Additionally, the guys that fired those fireworks off must be jerks. I think they’d notice a hot-air balloon floating above them, especially if they’re looking up there at fireworks.

    They probably aimed at him.

  19. PeterC

Strange he wasn’t flying a hydrogen balloon.

Last January I was in Florida and we flew out at night, right over Disney World. They were doing their fireworks show, it was awesome, but we were in a commercial airliner and headed from Florida to Canada so we were already pretty high, they were small, but pretty cool :) .

last june i went to mexico with my fiends we returned a few days before July 4th and had the pleasure of flying over a dozen early fireworks displays when returning to newark airport we we pretty close to the ground by then as well and it was nice and dark out. it was the most incredible thing i’d even seen in my life it’s beyond anydescription i could give…unfortunately the photos i attempted to take with my cellphone(we were still electronically safe at that point i nthe flight)came out like crap so no one will ever know what i saw except for the others on the plane.

  22. Tehblues

    Once again, lesson learned.

  23. DemonRex

Meh. Next time he’ll use a helicopter.

  24. Darkpheonix XIII

Guy on ground- “Hey look! A cockroach is in that balloon! Shoot it down!”

  25. Hoboapple

    Just use his fancy camera.

  26. Rachel

    He’s like a little kid!

  27. Elkian

@ Ahmed – parachutes burn REALLY REALLY REALLY easily.

  28. Kintatsu

@PeterC: Hydrogen hasn’t been used since the Hindenburg incident. Everyone uses helium now.
