#208 – Moving
I’ve moved about 12 times so far in my life. It becomes a skill after awhile. I think the biggest trick I learned was to buy a bunch of moving boxes that are all the same size. Packing the truck goes really fast when you don’t have to tetris every single thing in there. The funny thing about moving a lot is the boxes of stuff that never even get unpacked by the time you move again.

He should have also not bought the house that is slanty along with said hill. But then again, it is Biff. I think a slanty house would make it easier to go to certain parts of the house.

Yeesh…I know about moving all too well, haha. Lets see…I’ve moved 17 times so far in my life
It doesn’t get any more or less fun, haha. It’s just something that happens and gets done for me…I’ve moved almost as many years as I’ve been alive…just off by about half a decade, haha. Good stuff!
Love the comics Chris!

I found it annoying to move in my short lifetime, it’s just an amplified moment of when you have to try and think if you’ve forgotten anything. Moving boxes can be quite irritating too since you normally would find yourself tripping over a box you absolutely thought you’d unpacked earlier.

I hope Biff wasnt crushed by anything fragile

I’ve actually done that….. except the oly thing that fell were 3 mattresses because we hadn’t tied them down. What could it hurt, right? Guess what it can hurt. Your ribcage, Chris, your ribcage. I hop you know the kind of pain you just put Biff through. Geeze. Keep up the good work.

Hmm, I never thought of that whole same size box idea, I shall have to try that in a couple months. ^_^

Christ. I think I’ve actually done that once.
I also pack everything huge near the opening.
So intelligent.

I just caught up with the series and it just keeps getting better.
I want to name my kid Biff now. Just to see what would happen.
And to see if he would buy a slanted house. What would the house be like
at the bottom of the hill though?
March 22nd, 2007 at 12:13 pm
Is that the same house as in comic #22?
March 22nd, 2007 at 12:16 pm
Well, on the bright side, at least he didn’t have trouble getting stuff out of the back of the truck…

Curse you Ratheri, that is exactly what I was going to say.
May something unpleasant happen to you at some point in your life!

Better than unpacked boxes, is being able to use all your old boxes for the next move! They’re all pre-labelled! Sweet!

I just noticed that Biff’s boxes are unlabled. How will he figure out where everything goes?

March 26th, 2007 at 8:26 am

March 27th, 2007 at 10:48 pm
i’ve never seen someone use tetris as a verb….
April 11th, 2007 at 1:31 pm
I think Biff moved to San Francisco.
May 25th, 2007 at 6:03 pm
This looks almost like one of those moving trucks with the “moving tips” on them. They all seem like such Biff-y things to do, now that I think of it.

I have moved 2 times in my life and I am starting to hate moving. Mainly because my parents hated their surrounding.
I’m starting to think of moving as a legal form of mental abuse.
July 13th, 2007 at 12:41 am
I’ve moved about 7 times, twice to different towns in different counties than the original one, and this all started when I was about six. I am now 18. Moving IS a form of mental abuse.

I have to agree about the boxes remaining packed. I made a rule: If the tape doesn’t come off of the box by the next move, it gets thrown out. If it doesn’t get emptied by the move after that, it gets thrown out.
September 27th, 2007 at 11:39 pm
I agree!
I have tons of boxes that I still havent unpacked from a couple of movings ago XD

MOVING TIP: Forget the cardboard, ppl, go to your nearest big-name discount chain store (Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, etc) and buy great big plastic stackboxes! You can label them using Sharpie marker on clear packing tape, so the labels aren’t necessarily permanent. Sterilite makes clear ones so you can see what’s inside, even! My moving record was 5 cities in 12 months–2 of the cities TWICE, so I got all kindsa clue about this!
December 12th, 2007 at 3:34 pm
You’d think he’d have learned after the slanty bath not to get houses on hills.
June 17th, 2008 at 7:59 pm
Ya know, that’s the first time I’ve heard “tetris” used as a verb. I like it!
July 31st, 2008 at 11:44 pm
what are you talking about?
he got the truck unpacked in record time
February 27th, 2009 at 3:23 pm
I had to move into a house at around that angle. It was a really steep hill. Surpized That when we open the back door thing all the stuff didnt come slideing out.
