I’m usually scared of spiders being in my shoe. Most of the indoor spiders around here are fairly harmless and I guess they would just get squished by my foot and I would never know they were there. Not too long ago my wife was visiting her family in Michigan. Her brother was getting ready to leave for work when his foot encountered some sort of obstruction in his shoe. He turned it over and found that there was a little brown bat hiding out in his shoe. Have you ever found something in your shoes that you didn’t expect to be there?

I never did really find animals in my shoes before, but I did find a scorpion under my hat once.
I once found $5 in my shoe. I had left it there accidentally when I cleaned out my pockets to get onto one of those inflatable bouncy things. I gave my head a severe smacking, so it wasn’t so surprising that I had forgotten.
yes, a little Action figure that my brother had :p
One of my friends decided that it would be a great prank to put a nail in my shoe facing my toes…Long story short it went in between my toes and about an inch into my foot. Needless to say I was very surprised.
sneaky toasters also watch out for microwaves in coats
Last summer while out camping I was tapping my shoe out before putting it on (As you should always do when camping) and out falls a scorpion mama with loads of baby scorpions on her back… and who knows how many more fell off inside my shoe. Sorta similair I was at my grandpa’s old farm out in the country and ripped a flap off a cardboard box for a rain cover. When I turned it over there was a spider egg nest filled with at least a hundred little baby spiders crawling around inside ©_©
Heh, Toaster in the shoe…
I think it would have been pretty funny if a swarm of bats came flying out of his shoe XD
I have found things like coins and bits of lego and little lego people in my shoes thanks to my brother, but the worst thing I have ever had is a spider in my sleepingbag. It was massive and it took me almost 5 mins to realise it was there!
Eww
Damn toasters. Why can’t they stay in the kitchen and just toast my pop-tarts like I want them to!?
Yes. I thought I had Atlantis in my shoe once. Turned out to be a piece of paper my oh-so-kind brother stuffed in my shoe.
I also found a buck fifty in my shoe… Never a toaster, though.
I found a kitten in my shoe once, it pounced on me when I went to get my shoe.
Is this the same toaster with snake DNA integrated into it from comic #278?
That’s what I’m thinking.
It’s a subspecies of the snake toaster, having been able to adapt to the environment of the urban shoe.
Scientists have been in a battle over this species categorization with Serpentus Toastus and Toastia Burntieri being the two proposed names.
This subspecies’ name however, has been agreed to be urbanus.
I remember running outside with my sandals on and suddenly feeling something wet and squishy on my heel. Somehow when I was running I picked up a slug and was squishing it with my foot. It was icky!
Delegate: I agree it’s proabaly the snake toaster, but do you know if it has developed venomous socket pins?
I once found a small brown frog in my wellington. We were in Wales at the time and the frogs had found a hole (that we have yet to find) and kept getting into the house.
Well, Biff, it’s your own fault for creating snake-toasters.
Man, I too get scared of spiders in my shoes. So I check them before I put them on, by sticking my hand in there and moving it around to see if I can feel a spider. It is just now that I see that the logic of that may not be as good as I once assumed.
I found my glasses in my shoe, well not found it i slipped in and crushed them. I was camping and at 5 in the morning i wasnt able to remember that i put them there to be safe.
A bat? Oh my!
Here’s my story of strange things in my shoes
So here I am all ready to go out and all I’ll be needing are my shoes. I go out I put one on then I notice that there’s something keeping me from wearing the other one. Whatta know what it was? A FROG. and BIG one at that. Seriously it was like the size of my hand.
I was more surprised that I didn’t notice it in the first place.
Great, thanks for making me paranoid about spiders in my shoes.
I once had a blackwidow spider and its nest under my mattress. Thankfully we discovered it before the eggs hatched:D.
another foot.
then i realized they werent my shoes.
Yep. I’m pretty paranoid about spiders in my shoes too. So I squish them and then shake em out before putting them on.
A couple years ago at me cottage I needed a pair of shoes that I could wet. I started looking around and found an old pair that belong to my dad. I checked the one shoe to see if anything was in it, and there wasn’t. Unfortunately, I must have thought that the meant the other shoe was empty too, but then I stuck my foot in I heard a nice crunching sound and felt something against my toes. I took to shoe off and shook it. A big mouse fell out. Luckily it had been dead for quite a while.
I once found a bag of weed in my shoe it probably fell out of my brothers pocket when he searched it
P.S. I am from holland weed is legalized here I even grow it myself.
P.P.S don’t get paranoid about it!!
A bat?! An actual bat? Wow. I’ve never found anything odd in my shoes, but for an april fools prank my sister did. My step-mom thought it would be funny if she stuck a dead coackroach in my sisters shoe. My sister actually put her foot in there. She screamed sooo loud. My step-mom thought it was soooo funny. My sister was pissed as heck. She wasn’t to very found of our step-mom for the rest of the week.

Nothing in my shoes, thank goodness, but I did accidentally take a shower with a bat. By the time I noticed it, the poor thing was too drenched to fly and was simply cowering in a corner.
There was a dead rat in my right sneaker once when I was a kid. After that I would check my shoes every morning for a few years.
My Dad found a wrench in his jogging shoe when I was about four (I put it there, and for the life of me, I can’t remember why I did that). From then on he kinda hid his tools, rathe than keep them in the shoe closet.
i have big feet ( size 13 1/2 ) and sometimes my cats get some babies.. well, once i found a little kittie in my shoe. since then i keep them in my room, so the cats can’t reach them.
Before it’s too late, Biff, don’t stick a knife in your shoe/toaster!
a mouse head that my cat left me as a bday present
A tennis ball B)
my dog likes his balls :3
I’m a computer engineer. In college, I once walked around for most of a day with what I thought was a sharp pebble in my shoe. When I finally got the chance to dump it out, however, it turned out to be an electrical component from the lab where I was taking classes.

My dog once left me a bloody rabbit’s head in my shoe, and my cats give me all the mice that they catch, except they like to stick them in my bed and in the dryer. Toasted mouse does not smell good.
A small kingsnake; I adopted her.
Not me, in particular, but my dad did find about two weeks worth of dog food stashed in his boot by a mouse.
For some reason my cats think my shoes are a good storage place for their toys when their done playing with them. Other than that I’ve been lucky enough not to have a spider or anything squishy in my shoe. Though now that I’m thinking about it I’ll probably check my shoes ever time I put them on just to be sure.
cockroaches and their eggs! eww.
Because I have to leave my shoes outside before I go into the house, I’m a little wary to wear my boots. Now the boots I have only go up the calf halfway and are really heavy.
I once found something that looked like cat vomit on my shoes… Wel, not in them, but I was in a hurry so it was very fun, since the vomit had dried up during the winter.
Is this because he put it on his face that one time?
Someone else’s foot. Naw jk. But my mom does wear my sandals a lot.
Well, it wasn’t me, but my mum found a chipmunk in her shoes on a camping trip once. It had decided her shoelaces were both tasty eatings and a good nesting material.
………My mum is such a softie she left the shoe there for it. I often wonder if that shoe (or its remnants) are still in that forest.
Umm….Camping trip with the boy scouts, first one for me (as a scout), the camp was always covered in daddy long legs. Shook about 12 out of my shoe one morning.
Differnt camping trip, I’d decided to sleep under the stars because it was looking to be a nice night. I wake up about 12AM, to something on my face…it was a spider. Even better, it was a nice almost full moon, so I look more or less like the ground was moving, as well as parts of the top of my sleeping bag…needless to say, I didn’t sleep to great that night.
i have founda whole bunch of moths taring at the inside of my shoes, an ice cube that my cousin put in my shoe as a prank, an wile i was at a shoe store i found fibngernail in one of the shoes there
