#343 – Pipe
I had a short period as a skateboard punk. I first had a generic board from Toys R Us but eventually saved up enough money to go to the pro skate shop. I got a Vision Psycho Stick. I had fun for awhile but it didn’t even last the summer. I was going downhill on a sidewalk and another kid was biking up the hill towards me. He was crowding me off the edge and so I didn’t notice the sunken piece of concrete ahead of me. The edge of the cracked sidewalk stopped my board dead and I flew off landing on my back on a parking bumper. I actually don’t remember too much of what happened next. I remember a crowd and I remember the ride in the ambulance. I never skated again and traded my board for a modem for my Commodore 64.

I thought he broke a hole in the sky.

Chuck: Knowing him, he probably ripped a hole in the sky when he hit the wires.

I wish I had had a modem for my C64 when it was The Ultimate Computerâ„¢ for me (I wasn’t even alive when it came out first). Playing those games on it still wakes nostalgia en masse, though.

I had a skateboard, but no sidewalk to use it on, so i got a scooter, but the street was too bumpy.
I rember eating an apple, and playing with a skateboard once, i got on and cruized a bit at a very slow speed in my aunts backyard, and i hit a little triangular rock, the kind that causes plane crashes, and utter devastation, needless to say, i slipped and my apple eating face ate some pavement. Funny thing, i didnt drop my apple, i got up, wiped my face, and continued eating that delicious apple

I just noticed this, but in my RSS bookmark, where the name of today’s strip appears above the name of yesterday’s, it says “Pipe Down”.
I wonder if Chris is trying to send us a message?
I wonder if he knew he COULD send a message through his comic titles, by naming the comics with words in inverse order of how they appear in the message, thereby making it apparent only to those with the RSS feed.

Was it a 1660 or a 1670?

Not really a skateboarding accident, but it’s close enough. For a rewards day in Primary School (kids

LazerWulf – ooooh, spooky…. o_O
I skateboard, off and on, with a generic board from wal-mart (probably about the same as what you had, chris) but I’m saving up for something better, and that means once I get it it’ll be more of a full-time thing…whenever I take a break from my drums, that is

Eh, never had the chance to skateboard due to when my Mom broke her leg riding a skateboard when she was 14.
Poor Biff tho. He’s going to be twitchier than normal for hitting those wires

Power Lines? Oh, thank goodness…
When I saw the picture I was afraid Biff as being carried off by a huge bird or something.
September 27th, 2007 at 8:30 am
Man that is one real SHOCKER. And I thought shoes across the power line were bad.
September 27th, 2007 at 10:44 am
Ok, he has been shocked before right? Because if he hasn’t, now would be a good time to get some electricution insurance.

The irony is that Biff is dangling
from the same power lines that
powered your old commode 64.
September 27th, 2007 at 12:14 pm
Gotta watch out for those power lines! They’ll zap you dead, heh.

This is extreme sport’s week for Biff, isn’t it?

Hey, not all of my story showed up
What’s up with that? Well, its not showing up for me, so disregard if you can read all of it…
Anyway, cut a long story short, basically tried dismounting from a moving bike while wearing in-line skates. The idea was to be riding alongside the bike while slowing down. I don’t think I got the second blade to the ground before I fell flat on my back (helmet, phew).
The teacher just looked down and said- “You’d better take those off, its too rocky on the walk down.”

hahahahahahaha xD close to where I live there’s a half pipe right next to the train rails. It’s cool on one side cause when you have to wait for your train there’s always some shirtless skaters. But I’m pretty sure some of them get killed of badly injured each year.

I’m surprised he isn’t smokig – good for him, it’s a nasty habit.

I did that! But with my bike on a ramp, and when the bike when up I jumped off the bike and would grab a tree branch to swing on it. Freaked my mom out everytime =D
