#411 - Shred
For many years I watched Dick Clark’s new years show on TV. Usually the only interesting part to me was the ball drop in times square. It’s such a classic image, there isn’t much difference each year except for the big numbers that light up when the ball hits the bottom. All they need to do is insert a shot of the new numbers and a couple shots of drunk people wearing those new year novelty glasses and you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. I grew up in the Midwest and didn’t understand time zones when I was younger. It wasn’t until many years later that I figured out that I was watching a replay of the New York ball drop from an hour ago. I kind of felt lied to.

Sorry about that, but I have never been up at a time when Biff had updated and no comments had been posted; Nore should I…
Anyways, good comic as always. Could he not also have been juggling knives?
P.S.
Biff gets to walk down-hill both ways to and from school. Lucky him!

…I have to agree with lost’s first point…it’s weird to see an update without the commentary underneath. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it happen, ever. Wow.

Ow.
That’s gonna sting in the– oh, wait.

Yeah I actually lost track of what day it was and forgot to write the commentary before midnight. I realized as I was falling asleep that the year was ending and I hadn’t written the post yet but my brain had already cut off movement to my legs.

Can it be fixed, Chris? Well, if not, hey, that’s one hell of a way to kick off the new year

I love New Years. It’s a chance for rebirth and starting anew. A warm feeling fills my heart…
Enough of the poetry.
I get cut very easily because my skin is delicate. I hate dealing with anything sharper than regular old scissors.

Happy New Year!
Apparently, Dick Clark isn’t dead yet. Nor is his contract. He’s still doing the New Year’s show, even after his stroke last year.
And they had a new ball this year! It was blue and environmentally friendly.

One of our relatives called at 1:00 eastern time to tell us happy new year cause he forgot about the time change. He woke all of us up.
January 1st, 2008 at 12:15 pm
Apparently, I went to bed approximately 15 minutes before Biff was updated. Oh well…

Razor blade confetti….I seriosly wonder what’s going through Biff’s head to make thim think such things are a good idea.
January 1st, 2008 at 1:22 pm
Happy New Year to everyone here, and most especially to our amazing Biff creator.
Thanks for making a comic that helps me get through lousy days with a smile, chuckle, or full-out belly laugh. Keep ‘em coming, please!

I believe this comic and its funniness is a sign of what’s to come for the rest of the year… happy 2008 everyone!
@trueblade: Maybe he liked it because it was cheap and shiny.

@ trueblaze:

January 3rd, 2008 at 3:17 pm
Ha ha ha. I watched the times Square ball drop this year. My first thought of the New Year was “that’s a lot of confetti”.
January 3rd, 2008 at 11:50 pm
The sorry at the top was because my previous post (before it got bumped off) had said “First!”

go new jersey! the REAL new years time zone! it kinda sucks when your friends, etc live across the country when new years happens. you call and wish them joy, and they yell at you, saying theres still X hours yo go.
