Hmm... brownies are one of the only things I've ever actually made o.0 and they've turned out fine. I use the boxed kind... were you using home made batter? That might be harder... but yeah... mine turn a bit hard and crusty around the four corners. But the rest is quite delectable. I actually added a peanut butter layer to one batch I made and that went well too

I like brownies with that thin crust and for the bottom to be soft.

Then again, I know baked good when I see them. That brownie is awfully mean.

One word, and one word only can describe this scene:

*Glorp*

The sound of vengeful desserts...

Dessert theme week? I haven't had even ICE CREAM in MONTHS! Why do you tempt me so?!

MOD: Good GOD! So THAT'S what happened to everyone! GLaDOS is this generation's Junior!!!

(Junior isfrom Little Shop of Horrors, I think the name was. Look it up, and be VERY afraid...I still have nightmares...*shudder*)

Don't use a glass pan - I had the same problem with hard edges and gooey middle until I finally bought a professional grade square aluminum pan (Nordic Ware) at a discount home wares store (Home Goods if you have those where you are). I call it the Magic Brownie Pan because it makes them perfect every time.

Lower the temperature for cooking the brownies and stick an empty pan below the brownies on the lower rack. This will make them cook more evenly.
