Technically déjà vu is the nagging feeling you have seen something before, but cannot remember where or when—usually you are seeing something you could not have seen before.
I do not know what the term for precognitive dreams is, nor for their fulfillment. I used to have (rare) precognitive dreams about external events, but now it has been reduced to déjà senti (already felt), meaning I feel that I am remembering an errant thought—and these do not seem to have matching dreams.

PS When you dream about something that is perfectly normal and it becomes real, or it already has, its called deja vu. It's French. Happens to me AAAALLLLLLLLLLLL the time, when I'm not getting chased by some creepy crawly.

This reminds me of this old Mickey Mouse cartoon I watched on Thurs. Where Mickey Mouse was getting rid of bugs in his and Minnie's shared garden. It was going well until Pluto got stuck in a pumpkin and the bug spray got clogged. Mickey had JUST gotten rid of the clog and hadn't turned it around when Pluto (the dog, not the sub-planet spinning toward Mickey) ran right into the slide-shooter-thingymabober and sprayed Mickey! His head got all weird and funky and lumpy, every thing started to grow. He ran away from/outsmarted all the bugs and he woke up thinking he was being throttled by a worm or caterpillar and it was just the garden hose. In short, he could/should have died but, for any sick, twisted sadists, he didn't.

my dreams are all too stupid, confusing, scary, warped, etc. etc. (it's an INCREDIBLY long list of adjectives that mean the same thing: never any GOOD dreams, like flying.) to tell... that, and I've forgotten almost all of them. Dreams are becoming more and more rare for me, but they STILL freak me out. Sometimes, I can repeat a dream, but only if its better than the others, even if its only to an extent(i can and will change my dream, but it only works with rerun dreams. :S). And sometimes I will watch a tv show, and then go to bed, and have a dream with that exact tv show being on, but there will be MORE stuff in it. Example: I once watched the one episode of THE SIMPSONS where Mr. Burns gets shot(pt 01) when I was 5 and in my dream I saw pt 1 AND pt 2 AND extras like afterwards Mr Burns gave Maggie the gun that shot him as a toy, and she shot Homer in the foot. The voices were perfect, the animation was perfect, and my family was watching it with me. In the morning nobody said that they recalled such a thing happening and I remembered that I had went to bed beforehand. Funny, huh?

You know the funny thing? After I saw this, I had a dream about a snake crawling out of a firehose and linked it back to this. Behold the irony!

This exact thing happens from time to time - when events of the past day meld together within my dreams - especially when I have a bad habit of falling asleep after getting home from work early. It doesn't leave me 'scarred for life' like Biff obviously is - just leaves me muttering "wtf....??!" when I 'snap out of it' as always happens when the dream becomes too bizarre for me to comprehend. (if that sounded too 'stream of conciousness', I 'snapped out' of one such dream just now).

As for freak-out dreams, I don't know what led up to it, but back in high school, I can remember dreaming walking into a giant room that had thousands of light bulbs on the ceiling and throwing the switch and seeing them burn out one right after the other. That was the one thing I hated the most when I was growing up - turning on the light only to have it burn out right then and there. By hated I mean 'freak-out' hated. Anyway, the instant that happened in my dream, I let loose with a yell and which had my mother at my bedroom door within 2 seconds asking me what was the matter...

hmm... well, unlike most other prophetic dreamers here, my dreams generally happen anytime between 6 months and a few years later. maybe that one about me being chinese (no offense intended there, if there was any) and being chased by a big huge bulldog. and everything was blue, which was weird. I believe I finished that dream: part II a few years later. Also, The only reccuring dream I had was when a dragon was burning down the school, and I was running across the open asphalt with the principal, trying to get him to safety (I have no idea why), and the funny thing was, it was seymour skinner from the simpsons! anyway, with my prophet powers (PP for short), I forget them completely until they come true, then WHAM! then I think *hey, this happened in a dream I had once!*. then it ends and life continues to make no sense again.

so says the nameless one.
