#510 - Proximity

There are some activities that shouldn’t be done next to each other. For example, folding the laundry next to someone frying bacon. You wind up just having to wash everything all over again.

Stumble Biff!

Please let it be fire week, please let it be fire week…

Naw, it’ll probably be car week or something.

    The Duck Has Spoken.

  2. SEA

Why worry about your car biff? You got a ROCKET!

Unless that’s not your rocket. XD

  3. Doc Spooky

I am a silent reader until now and i have to say: Way to go Chris, and bacon and laundry? bad BAD combination.
It is´nt Biff´s rocket by the way, remember. he got a space shuttle, and Biff makes it levitate by his mindforce alone…were is Biff? is he in the car or the rocket?

  4. DGexe

    Doc–

He’s probably staring at it, first-person style like the “camera”. :D

  5. Molnek

I read The Book of Biff ready for weirdness but the whole laundry bacon thing really threw me off, congratulation on pushing the barrier Chris.

  6. Jeremy

I love it when the Vibe shows up :D

  7. Kbman

I’m pretty sure Mythbusters proved that the car would have been blown far away/to bits if it really was that close to a rocket launch.

But this is Biff we’re talking about, and science doesn’t stop this from being awesome.

  8. RFPT

noooo! not Biff’s Toyota Corolla or whatever!

  9. Heinrich

why was biff parked there in the first place? does he work there?

  10. MaskedMan

Wait… Do you know about bacon and laundry from experience..? :o

Parking cars down-wind from hull-painting is a bad idea, too. Ruin’s one’s paintjob, and the paint speckles on the windshield can totally ruin your wipers blades.
Yeah, I know about that one from personal experience.

  11. Carpaccio

there are so many things that can’t be done alongside mopping a floor. Personal experiences.

  12. funnyman141

so many ways to ruin a rider mower motor never eat breakfast and put on a carburetor parts usually fly when u start it

  13. Jackson

I was gonna say “Now the question is, is Biff in the car or the rocket?” but Doc Spooky beat me to it. I need to start waking up earlier! ;)

  14. Spaceman Spiff

    To RFPT:

That looks like it would pretty much have to be a Pontiac Vibe.

  15. JB

Is this rocket the same design as a previous comic where Biff was eating rockets out of a bowl?

I had a look for it, but I couldn’t remember what it was called. Anyone got some suggestions?

  16. Joe

Yep, a pontiac Vibe…you can tell by the wheels…Biff…c’mon i expected you to be driving a hybrid,,…

  17. Josh

I try not to fold my clothes in the kitchen.

  18. Cudzu

Is that the ricket he got in the box of Super Noodle Bran?

  19. Thrack

Whenever I see a car in this comic it reminds me of Biff’s green invisible car.
It’s a good thing that wasn’t his green invisible car.

“There are some activities that shouldn’t be done next to each other. For example, folding the laundry next to someone frying bacon. You wind up just having to wash everything all over again.”

You say that to my mother: the drying clothes hang in the kitchen, and she still deepfries stuff in there… Often I smell like a springroll. Or fried garlic…

  21. Garrett

@Kbman: I think the reason the car hasn’t blown away is all the wet sand he’s loaded in the car for some other experiment/adventure we may never hear about.

  22. speearr

    Today’s rocks! Rocks rockets….

  23. no name

When I first saw this comic I said “WHOAAAAAA I wonder what the caption is.” Awesome comic, Chris, definitely going down as one of my favorites.

@JB - I’m pretty sure all the rockets Chris draws are the same.

  24. no one you know

How does biff live from all the things that happen to him?

  25. Reynard

“Ironically, Elton John’s ‘Rocketman’ was playing on the car radio…”

  26. AdmiralChaos

Bah. burn the car, i want the rocket!

  27. Envi

    @Reynard: lol

two things you definatly shouldn’t do at the same time are read book of biff and drink millk. or in my case grape crush, X_X ouch

  28. Wizard

Maybe it was the invisible car, and the rocket just burned off the invisible paint?

  29. PsychoDuck

Wizard’s explanation makes the most sense thus far.

    The Duck Has Spoken.

  30. FWTrump

Except that Wizard gets discredited for using logic… This is Biff we are talking about.

  31. PsychoDuck

Hey, I said it made the most sense. I didn’t say it was the most accurate hypothesis.

    The Duck Has Spoken.

  32. brickface

Hahaha, I have that same problem, but It’s usually a submarine instead.

  33. Wizard

Can any sentence that includes the words “invisible paint” really be indicted for excessive logic?

  34. K

    In the Biffverse, yes.

My first two thoughts on reading this were, in order, “Hey, where’s Biff?” and “…that can’t be Biff’s car! He has an invisible green car!”

  35. Torg

Of course he wouldn’t drive a hybrid. That is too safe. If it is a Vibe, he probably modified it to run on nitroglycerine.

K, Biff has many more cars than just the invisible green one. Stained glass comes to mind.

  36. Amake

That does look like a car with the paint burned off, so I guess we’ll never know if it was the invisible green car.

Meanwhile, I just realized how awesome Biff is. He doesn’t drive a Toyota or a Ford or anything technical like that, he drives a GREEN car. (Invisible.) (Or used to be.) That’s always been the most significant identifying factor of cars for me. . .
