#514 - Crunch
I wish I had a navigation system in my car. I have really bad eyesight so unless I’m driving with another person in the car I usually have to drive past a street in order to read the sign. So I wind up having to do a lot of turning around. When I have an opportunity to look up the directions myself I write down all the names of the streets that come right before where I need to turn. A little extra work up front saves me a lot of gas.

I’m sure Biff’s home owner insurance covers this sort of thing.

Yeah, but what about his rocket insurance?
May 23rd, 2008 at 12:23 am
The rocket looks fine to me.

If you have bad eyesight, should you be driving at all?
May 23rd, 2008 at 2:10 am
He has that compulsory rocket liability insurance, doesn’t he?

Yeah, are you allowed to drive with eyes that bad? I have terrible eyesight, so my licence has a ‘licensee must wear corrective lenses at all times’ condition on it.

I hear ya on the eyesight. It especially doesn’t help that nine times out of ten the side street I need to turn on is obscured my trees.

And he’s back XD
I am glad there’s MRT here =p

That’s a new spin on driving through the garage door…

Fuzzy eyesight isn’t going to make you a danger to anyone. It’s not like he can’t make out that there are cars everywhere and the status of street lights. Really eyesight that’s good enough to make out where all the obstacles around you are makes you exactly as safe as those who can further make out the faces of people in the cars. What would further fidelity really add to that equation?
Seems like his only issue is he can’t make out the lettering on street signs until he gets close. Even with glasses sometimes I have that issue. It depends on how big the sign is.

I had the same problem, then I got my prescription updated and now I can read street signs again. You’d never guess how eyesight effects your daily life until you don’t’ have it.

Ha ha, great link dantheman
I’m likin’ the rocket themed comics this week, although I must admit that I’ve missed Biff’s crazy eyebrows.

I broke my glasses at work once and had to go to the eye doctor for replacements. My boss worried about me driving without glasses. My response?
“Cars are big.”

That’s an interesting way of writing directions. No one would be able to follow you by using the same directions. At least not without further directions on how to use the directions.

Hmm, I think he probly bought insurince for that. He’s the guy who’d be prepared for anything, cause usally anything happens.

Yeah! Biff’s home from space!
May 23rd, 2008 at 6:46 pm
Yay, am I the only one that’s happy that Biff is back?
(wow, first time commenting after a loooong time of reading)

i think biff’s version of a navigation system is an enlarged version of one of those rare earth magnets

I hate cars “talking” to me. When I bought my car,
I told the guy, NO TALKING but he insisted I *had*
to hear the the navigation system. He’d talk to
the dashboard “Chinese Restaurant” which he
had to repeat three times before the car understood.
When the car talked back, I said no thank you. I
bought the car from another dealer without the
stupid annoying talking navigation system.

I was just waiting for that to happen =)
Hey, Biff made a sky light!
May 29th, 2008 at 10:48 am
Wow, this is the first ever comic with no image of Biff!
June 5th, 2008 at 11:02 pm
The snowman comic technically didn’t have Biff in it.

When I read this I was currently reviewing my Car insurance, which stated that my car is protected from Missiles..
I know that this is a technical term used in insurance, however it still made me laugh.
