My sister-in-law makes potato salad with mustard, hard-boiled eggs and celery in it, and it’s really good. My husband made it for a company picnic, and now that’s the only thing they want him to bring.

My girlfriend recently got me to eat deviled eggs. I had never had them before, but she insisted I would like them. They weren’t too bad, but there was a hidden flavor that kept bothering me. Turns out it was ketchup. I loathe ketchup with a fiery burning passion, but she insisted there was no way I could possibly distinguish it from the other flavors. She was very wrong.

I actually love potato salad… So long as meat outnumbers veggies in it. Seriously, I’m a freakin’ carnivore. I won’t eat anything unless there’s some meat involved.

More people like mayonnaise than mustard? I like mustard, vinegar, all sorts of acidic flavorings. To me mayonnaise is disgusting. It’s like eating lard paste with eggs. Since potato salad has mayonnaise I’ve never even bothered to eat it — and I’m in the South. Here it’s a staple food.
