That’s the whole point – Only horrible and vile puns are worth the effort. If you can’t make people pass out by the sheer horror of the pun, it’s just not worth bothering with.

On top of that, there’s a second, and even third level here. For a certain subset of people, “getting pixilated” is/was a common euphemism for getting very, very drunk. Which is a common New Year’s activity. And also the subject of many a New Year’s resolution – A resolution which is almost always broken. So This pun is horrible on *multiple* levels – The work of a TRUE artist!

For some reason I found iit funny even before I realized it’s a pun.
Also, there’s a live photo of what looks like some snowy town…maybe that’s supposed to make it funnier? I don’t know…

lol i don’t get how people don’t get it… but maybe that just says how much of a cs nerd i am. i think it’s hilarious, but for those who don’t get it – the pun is resolution (what you intend to do) vs resolution (the dimensions in pixels of a sprite or computer monitor). biff’s resolution (def. 2) dropped significantly.
