#593 - Testudines
Back when I was a teenager I used to house sit for our neighbor. They didn’t have any pets or anything so there wasn’t really much I had to do other than just keep a general eye on the place. I liked it because they had a fancy record player and stereo. I could go over there and listen to music or talk on the phone as if at age 13 I owned my own home.

The turtle only gets them because the spliced the cable lines.
And… made them invisible at the same time.

Yes, this still fits in with the theme I thought it was. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. W00t!

I thought he was using it as a ViewMaster for a minute. 3d Cable is much nicer.

Before I saw the caption, I thought it was a turtle sandwich.

I thought it was a turtle staring contest!

I think if Biff positioned his eyebrows carefully, he could get some channels directly into his brain!
Only until February ‘09 though

I guess this comic goes with the saying “The grass is greener on the other side.” except the grass is technology.

I agree looks like a turtle viewfinder although a turtle sandwich would be amusing.
I’m not quite clear on why Biff is house sitting the turtles house if the turtle is still there though, is this some kind of kinky game Biff and the turtle have going on between them?

I just realized that the period is the only puncuation in biff comics…
I think.

@Chris - The turtle isn’t there. He left town for the annual turtle skinny dipping weekend.

“I could go over there and listen to music or talk on the phone as if at age 13 I owned my own home.”
I want someone to ask me to housesit because I’m slightly older than that and I’m sure I’d get all *excited*

Tortise-shell glasses..?
I guess this would make Biff a ‘peeping tom.’
September 18th, 2008 at 7:55 am
Peoples!! He’s only house-sitting for the turtle! Poor guy needed a break from his stressful and demanding life, so he went to “the annual turtle skinny dipping weekend.” (I loled. That’s great, Chris!)

The Random Comic button doesn’t seem very random after it sent me here 6 times in a row.

That`s gotta be one tiny screen in there…
September 18th, 2008 at 3:29 pm
I don’t get it. Why would looking through a turtle shell get more channels.
September 18th, 2008 at 4:43 pm
the turtle has cable dude!
September 18th, 2008 at 7:19 pm
Ohh I thought the turtle had its own house, and that’s where Biff was.
September 18th, 2008 at 10:16 pm
A turtle’s shell IS it’s house
September 18th, 2008 at 10:16 pm
sigh *its*
September 18th, 2008 at 10:34 pm
i wonder where the mailbox for the turtle’s cable bill is…
September 18th, 2008 at 10:49 pm
Oh…
Took me so long to understand the joke.
September 18th, 2008 at 10:55 pm
@Speakerblast - The turtle pays his bills online.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:49 am
Ah the power of technology. Did anyone even for a second consider that said turtle’s cable might have a wireless transmitter?
Yeah that doesn’t quite sound right to me either. Ohwell.
September 20th, 2008 at 12:33 am
I got the joke as soon as I read the caption.
Of course, *I’m insane*

New Caption:
“Biff should not have made that face in front of a hungry turtle”
“Turtle shell binoculars, for spying on your more reclusive neighbors; from Biffco”
(like TurtleShell Glasses, but not.)
