I was recently listening to the audiobook for Steve Martin’s “Born Standing Up.” It’s a great look into his early life and standup career. One of the most amazing things was when he was talking about how he had a lot of time in high school to work on his magic because his school didn’t give out homework. Wait… no homework? I didn’t even know such a fantasy was possible!

Xp i remember my swimming lessons. Three years of my life training not to doggy paddle or flail like a lout.

@Andore Mordre: You can’t swim with nose goggles. There’d be no end to getting water up your nose.
And I think that Biff’s instructor has the right idea, personally. The less water Biff is involved with, the better.

My PE teacher did something like that once: had us do 10 push-ups and 20 sit-ups at home and have our parents sign a paper saying we did them. I never got a single signature, nor did a single push-up or sit-up at home. =P

I tend to get very little in the amounts of homework at my HS. I guess you just had bad luck.
