#675 – Slayer
When I was a kid I preferred the store brand macaroni and cheese instead of the name brand. I liked it because it had straight noodles instead of the typical bent elbow macaroni. The straight noodles looked like little bundles of dynamite. I would pretend they were exploding in my mouth. I didn’t care what it tasted like, I just wanted that specific shape because of the entertainment value.

That milk seems to be an odd shape… like the closer you get to the bottom of it, the less physical space there is! Just like a black hole…!

Scooby Doo macaroni and cheese tastes better than the regular Kraft kind, I think because of the texture and the fact that the “cheese to noodle” ratio is higher because they give you less pasta.

I appreciate the ambiguity of this comic. Did Super-Biff actually save the school and is now sitting down to enjoy a delicious plate of pasta? Or does Biff just dress up in a superhero costume so that he could play pretend while eating his lunch (AKA defeating the thousand-armed demon)?
Everyone else is guessing Superhero Week, but I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess Pasta.

Kids pretend weird things. When I was a kid I used to watch lava lamps and pretend all the little gobs of “lava” were battling it out and everytime they collided I would make crashing noises.

Wow, Chris’ comment takes me back when I was like 6. My brother and I liked Kraft mac and cheese, but I said the elbow pasta tasted the best and he said the spiral pasta was better.
So after about a year, we decided to try each other’s mac and cheese. “OMG! They taste the same!!!” It was like we discovered the secret to the creation of the universe. And we told everyone…. and everybody wasn’t impressed….

As far as store-bought brands go, I always liked the ready-to-bake kind. Straight, bent, or spiral, it didn’t matter, so long as the cheese-sauce was thick, was MSG-free, and liable to get crunchy ’round the edges. I really enjoy that part. Excellent for these cold New England nights. Now I really want to buy a package or two…

Eh, we can only get the Kraft macaroni and cheese here in Australia. I’ve never tried to make my own before, but I might try that sometime.
I’d say Food Week maybe?
