There are a lot of animals where a telephoto lens is probably the best way to get a closeup look at them. A friend of mine likes to take photographs of birds and other wildlife. He is often overheard saying “Need more zoom!” I wonder how different life would be if we had built in zoom capability in our eyes. I guess more people would buy the cheap concert seats.
