Chapter: Comics
Back in school I was always surprised at how hard sit-ups could be. You would cross that threshold and suddenly not be able to breathe. I guess most of the exercises we would do were similar to other activities that we always did as kids. Running, jumping, throwing things. I usually only did a single sit-up each day when I got out of bed.

Ease up on the “up”, Biff….
It’s that last ‘surge’ to fully reach the ‘up’ position that’ll getcha…
Never do an over-the-shoulder squat thrust without stretching both you and the neighbor’s dog first.
Ironically, sit-ups aren’t that effective an exercise, because they only really work a small patch of muscles that are only really used to stabilize your spine, and protect your gut.
If you really want to get some exercise, you need to do squats and deadlifts. Those happen to work the biggest muscle group in your body: your rump muscles. They also happen to be the action that you should be going through when you’re picking something heavy up off the ground, so they do tend to help the back too. Just make sure you’re doing it right, or you’ll hurt your back.
Strengthening spinal stabilizing muscles sounds kinda important to me…
