What's scary is that autopilots are about to depend on GPS; so the next really strong Coronal Mass Ejection that messes-up the satellites is gonna also make a mess of the 'friendly' skies!

I couldn't rely too much on a GPS, I navigate by landmarks, and if I've been to where I was going at least once before.

I knew a few cops, and they really hate giving directions because generally they are doing something more important. So that cop may have just been trying to get rid of you.

Last I checked, anyhow. But doesn't it have to do with _keeping_ the globe in position?

Oooh, I'll always refer to GPS as Gargoyle Positioning System from now on! Dad will be so confused! *Evil grin*

Anyone else than just me who thinks that the skyscrapers look a bit like oddly-shaped Tetris pieces? I'm hoping that a small skyscraper will come down from the sky and land in that little gap...

Would this be a bad time to mention that GPS data is intentionally fudged by ~10 meters or so, so that America's enemies can't target missiles onto our hardened bunkers using our own satellites, since that's almost the only time +/- 10 meters matters...and driving in New England is the other.
