Latin is the best. After I finish my training, I will be an unstoppable language-learning MACHINE.
I did four days of Latin (there was another day, but that was just a 'field trip' to an old Roman fort. Pfft, I went to learn the language, not about the architecture), two years of French and I'm in my fourth year of German. I also did five days of Japanese, along with a good few lunchtimes of Japanese Club (hooray for sushi at the end ^^) and I find most of my Japanese on the internets. |

That's because there are lots of repeats of functional groups, and there position in the word indicates their position in the molecule. F'rinstance: The molecule 1-methyl, 3-methyl, 5-methyl 5-hexene would look like: | | | | | -C-C-C-C-C=C | | | | | -C- -C- -C- | | | Legitimate molecule, really repetitive name. |
