Didn't Apple sue Sony for using that name?

Harry Brown is a surprisingly good film considering what sort of film it is.

District 9 was surprisingly good. My sister thought it was butt when she saw it when it first came out, so I wasn't expecting much. I suppose that contributed a bit.

Sociologically speaking, I found it really fascinating. I found this to be one of the closest films I've seen to what I'd expect people to act like if alienly stuff happened. Biologically, I thought it was a bit stupid. Like most alien films, the aliens were humanoids, which I always disagree with, they acted almost exactly like humans, bar some traits, and their language was similar enough ideas-wise to be understood and translatable, let alone vocal. The whole turning-into-one-of-them this was ridiculous, even considering the 'alien technology' argument.

Still, I thought it was fairly good. I was fine with the gadgetry, because most of it made sense, including the fact it only worked for them. The main guy was weird, but I thought that was okay, because some people are like that, and I'm pretty sure it would be more the people like that who would work in alien relations. And if all the biological stuff was accurate, I would certainly expect the aliens and the humans to interact how they did.

1 thing I didn't like about the movie itself: The alien's seats in the bodysuitbot and the minor spacecraft seem to fit more closely to the dimensions of humans than aliens.

1 thing I liked about the movie itself: How fluidly the alien used the interface for the spacecraft at the end; it seemed a lot more natural than alien films usually do.

Saw Alice in Wonderland today with Pel and his family. Good movie, but the 3D gave me a bit of a headache. The Hatter was great, though I'm not sure of the whole love interest vibe I got off him and Alice. I might be completely misinterpreting, but with the start of the movie as it is, I really got that impression.

Haven't seen District 9, but I did seen 9.

I've just seen Alice in Wonderland. It was a great script and wonderful casting- most of the main characters from Sweeney Todd was what made it totally bitchin'- but it was simply too sad. I've never much cared for unrequited love and dashing young half-mad men that you can never marry.

Well hurry up and fork over the money so you can see the movie that critics the world over absolutly hated. Despite that fact everyone that wasn't a stuck-up snob enjoyed the film.

Critics are useless. To quote a Weird Al song, "Those Siskel and Ebert bums/oughtta go home and just sit on their thumbs."
Even for a member of my family, I have strange tastes in movies. I never take anyone's word for how good something is.

My brother really despised Shutter Island because it freaked him out so much. However, my mother enjoyed it, which is odd because she usually goes in for chick flicks. We still haven't got to her see Sweeney Todd.

My mum's relatively positive outlook and her desire to make the world a better place have caused her to take less pleasure in other peoples' personal tragedies.  Tongue Also, she thinks killing people and putting them in pies is gross.

Iron Man 2 made me very sad. It fell so short of the first. I've been looking forward to this movie for a year now, and I went to go see the midnight showing and everything. And is was so inadequate. The first pulled you into the Marvel world, this one was too much action and not enough plot. And the action wasn't even that good, it was blurry and dizzying.
