Okay, so I saw The Day the Earth Stood Still today.
It was pretty good, but a bit preachy. I liked the choice of Kee-new to play the alien. He looks enough like an alien, and I like the way his acting style fits that role a lot better than when he played the villain in a Shakespeare thingy.
The impressive thing, though, was Gort. Thirty feet tall, gleaming, silver, menacing.
His eye would follow you around the theater if you were to get up and move.
Scary as hell.

Overall, 71/100, plus two points for the Wolverine trailer.

Anybody else seen any good, bad, or ugly movies lately?

I'm not really a movie person. The last one I saw was Dark Knight, and that was two months after it came out.
I want to see The Day the Earth Stood Still, though...it looks good.

I also want to see I am Legend....

Yeah. Dark Knight is god. That is not a typo.

Oh, one thing I forgot to mention:
The makeup on Kee-new was great. He almost looked real.

I read that as 'Grot'.

Grot! Klattu Verata Nikto!

Yeah, I'm not going to see it. Nothing really exciting for me. I'll wait a bit for something better. On the small screen though, I saw Santa with Muscles. It stars "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan as some rich guy who bumps his head and thinks he is Santa. Hilarity ensues. Incredibly fun B-movie bonanza.

I saw Iron Man, it was pretty funny. Not something I'd go out of my way to buy, though. I recall seeing The Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer- the same goes for it. I'm not sure how long ago that came out, but time has no meaning to the immortal children of the night.
Sweeny Todd obviously rocks, and I'd love to own it but I'm not sure if my dad could cope with it. The Dark Knight is very, very awesome; I have now seen it five times plus two times a pirated version that is on my computer.
I also want to see I am Legend....
It's an okay movie and pretty funny. It's the one I went to see after I couldn't stomach the opening sequence of Sweeny Todd. I liked it.

Yeah, MP's one of those crazy collector-types who has every edition of every movie neatly shelved in the basement.
....I'm just guessing on that last part. I think most of them are still in boxes, actually....I wouldn't know.

You should see I am Legend, it was really good. I recomend renting it. (I never recomend that people buy movies, because once I see it, I just can't bring myself to see it again.)

 Grin
I'll probably rent it sometime.

I love all the robots.
I also think it's hilarious (and good acting on his part) that he was more comfortable around the Robots then any humans.

It's basically cheating, but it's the same as any movie store- you still get fined if you don't bring 'em back. Hooray for the public library!

And because we watched it, we can return it with no late fees. Woot.

I want to read the comics now.

We can only borrow books, cassettes of books, and go on computers at ours. No films.

We do have a blockbuster's instead though.

The ways movies are rent here; pay full price, get your cash back on return.
At least that is how I remember it, the last time we rented a movie here was years ago.
